Internet Access Intiative
BurstWave Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to making remote learning possible for all residents in the state of Virginia. Because of the pandemic, many people have been forced to receive their education via internet access.
Too many times, we have seen an idling car with a parent and their children sitting in a parking lot near a business that offers internet access. Or we see people in vehicles at some remotely placed hotspot in the county, their faces lit up by the screens of their laptops, trying to do their classwork. The dangers are many, from carbon monoxide poisoning from a vehicle's faulty exhaust system to the danger of being alone in a remote area.
The BurstWave Foundation is doing something about these situations. We provide free internet access to those individuals who cannot afford the cost of the service in order to further their education.
